Maybe the iPad should be called the iPaid…

Reuters is reporting that the cost of the iPad for Apple to manufacture could be as low as $229.35.  That leaves Apple making over one hundred percent profit.  That seems pretty ridiculous to me personally.  Normally you would think that since Apple stands to make a ton of cash off of the iTunes store that they would almost give this thing away.  It would seem smart to take a page from the video game industry and force your hardware down as many throats as possible so that you can make …

Google Voice + iPad 3G = ???

Say it with me “$30 a month for 3G with no contract.”  Let that soak in for a while.  Most people don’t think too far past surfing the iPad for that thought, but I see a whole new shift in telecommunications.  Imagine if you will, a cellphone that can’t connect to any voice service, but could connect to Google Voice.  With Google’s acquisition of Gizmo5, Google is in a prime position to become a true voip application.  Now, this in itself is not that spectacular, but when coupled with the 3G …

Apple unveils the iPad
