Moto Droid users finally get Android 2.1 … Take 3

Yesterday Verizon started sending over the air updates to a select few people for the Droid.  Mass updates should start showing up today, but the update will not let you apply it unless you have more than 40 percent battery power.
I am not holding my breath on this, but if it does happen, expect a full review of all the 2.1 goodies that should be included.

Rumor: CDMA + iPhone = Droid + eBay

The Wall Street Journal posted a few articles about the possibility of a CDMA flavor of iPhone.  This makes me smile like the Cheshire cat on ‘shrooms.  I currently live near VA Beach and AT&T service is atrocious … or so I am told.  It is so bad that all you really ever hear are the horror stories about people that used to have the service.  This area is like living in a post-apocalyptic world after the Cellular wars have faded.  Needless to say Verizon won.

Verizon announces new Motorola DEVOUR

Verizon finally announced its new phone today.  Contrary to what many have speculated this is not the Droid replacement  they thought it was, but that doesn’t make it any less of a contender.  While it may only be running Android 1.6, it does feature Motoblur and a 3.1 inch capacitive screen.  That bundled with an 8GB SD card makes this a very attractive phone indeed.
